BEATRIX' WG IN DAYTON ONCE AGAIN?

About two years ago, Beatrix’ Winterguard announced the very same news for the 2009 season. That year, for the first time in Beatrix’ history, the group was to take part in the WGI Championships.

Now, two years later, we look back on a hugely successful trip. With a tied 12th place the group managed to break through to the Independent Open Class Finals in the well-known UD Arena in Dayton. Finally ending in 10th place, Beatrix’ Winterguard is until now the only European winterguard group that ever finished in the WGI top ten. “A huge achievement that we are still very proud of,” says Gerard Eijlers, Chairman of the Beatrix Association.

After extensive talks between the USA 2011 Committee, Beatrix’ management team and the Beatrix Association board, the decision was made to once again start the organization of a journey to the United States, so that Beatrix’ may once more enter the UD arena next season.

After six successful DCI tours and most recently the WGI 2009 trip, the Beatrix Association will once again strive to cross the great ocean in order to participate in the WGI Championships for the second time.
