SCOTT BROWN VISITS BEATRIX'

“It’s always exciting when our arrangers visit the corps to work with us,” says Staff Coordinator Elmar Zwart. After great experiences with Rob Balfoort for the brass and Paul Doop for the Front Ensemble this was next on our wish list. Scott himself expressed interest in coming to The Netherlands to work on his arrangements with the Beatrix drum line.

The percussion book that Scott wrote for Beatrix is very musical and is a good balance between the musical books from Scott Johnson (arranger for Beatrix' 1996-2006) and the several arrangers in the last three years. With Scott Brown we have attracted a very talented arranger whose arranging style fits the brass arrangements perfectly and is at a level Beatrix needs.
