QUEEN’S DAY AND LIBERATION DAY![]()
Last week, early in the morning of Friday the 30th of April, Beatrix’ assembled in the corps building around 8:00 to suit up in the new beautiful Stanbury uniform. All members were there well on time to so that there was still some time for last-minute fixes on the new uniforms. The outfits were delivered a mere week earlier. Thanks to the sewing crew the whole corps looked fantastic for the performance.

There were no show performances scheduled this Queen’s Day. Beatrix’ held a concert performance at the Dudokpark in Hilversum, which was cold and wet but all in all a good start of the season. The well known Dutch rain and windy weather on this first performance of this year was a great start for this brand new uniform. After the concert the members were free to go and celebrate for the rest of the day. For many members this was a great opportunity to travel to Zoetermeer to check out what other corps have in store for this season at the tattoo that was being held there.

More than a week later another stand still performance was planned, on Liberation Day. At noon all sections started their warm-up at the Kerkbrink shopping area in Hilversum. The sun could be seen more and more through the clouds and luckily the temperature started rising. This was a lot better than the weather conditions on Queen’s Day!

This concert was attended by a large crowd of shopping and celebrating people. The corps got a well deserved applause. By now the sun was shining brightly and Beatrix’ left a good impression in home town Hilversum.
